As ham radio evolves in the direction of digital modes and contesting, demand for classic radio-controlled software is lessening. At the same time, many SDR transceivers are appearing on the market, and the effort to support them is very costly and time-consuming. After 23 years of continuous development and support, as well as encouragement from loyal users, Laurent, F6DEX, the author of TRX-Manager, has released an unprecedented statement that he intends to provide at least three more years of support for TRX-Manager.
"Other software authors may pull their products abruptly off the market, but I will not do that to my loyal users." -- Laurent, F6DEX
Be certain that, along with many friends around the world, Laurent uses the program himself, and that he does not intend to abandon it. However, it would be unreasonable to keep adding new users when indefinite support is no longer feasible.
AS OF SEPTEMBER 1, 2019, WE STOPPED SELLING TRX-MANAGER TO NEW USERS, AS WELL AS UPGRADES TO USERS WHO HAVE VERSIONS 4 AND BELOW.
The update subscription program will continue for registered users of TRX-Manager version 5 through August 31, 2022. Afterwards, Laurent will provide free updates at his discretion to users whose subscriptions are current through August 31, 2022.
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOUR UPDATE SUBSCRIPTION IS CURRENT THROUGH AUGUST 31, 2022 IF YOU WISH TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR FREE UPDATES AFTER AUGUST 31, 2022.
