My trusty old Orion has finally bit the dust. I am replacing it with an OMNI VII from Ten-Tec.
Although it won't arrive for a couple of weeks, I am starting to convert the programs I use from Orion to OMNI VII.

LOGic doesn't list the OMNI VII as a supported radio. I have checked the Ten-Tec download site for the Pegasus program, but it evidently no longer exists.

Any suggestions? LOGic is the best program around, and Ten-Tec makes the best rigs, so I need to find a way to make them work together.

Thanks,

I finally found the Pegasus plus program on the N4PY web site. Has anyone had any experience using this program with LOGic?
I want to make sure it interfaces with LOGic before I spend 65 bucks on it.

Thanks, Jess

I've got an Omni VII connected to my Windows desktop running LOGic 9. I'm using Omni-Rig
(free from the DX Atlas folks) to talk to the rig. I have Dennis' serial port keyer (KEYER-S)
though I did have to change the phone connector to what the Onmi needs. I still have my Bencher
plugged in the front. I have a Yaesu G-1000DXA rotor on the tower and Idiom Press' rotor
COM port interface (LOGic thinks it's a Hygain DCU rotor).

The N4PY program does work with LOGic. There is some setting that you have to change in N4PY to make it write a Pegasus-compatible disk file.

But I would go with OmniRig. It is a lot cleaner solution IMO.

Tnx & 73,
