Hi Dennis,
are there news about Logic settings to import or export without problems?
Digital software are running in right mode to save the qsos's into Logic via UDP referring FT2 after mode window update.
Any idea or its right to standby the standard resolutions? Thanks.
Ciao Dennis from Italy.

Hi Mauro:

I am not aware of any problem with LOGic's import or export. Please describe any issues you are having.

I am not familiar with any FT2 software. WSJT-X and other similar digital communications programs use an intermediate ADIF file. Is this a possibility with FT2?

Could you provide a link to the software you are using?

Thanks for hosting an excellent Winter Olympics games!

Hi Dennis,
Thanks for the quick reply.
I'm using Decodium 3.0 software, which is a derivative of Taylor's WSJT-x. The code appears to already be present in the original version but not implemented. FT2 allows QSOs with a maximum time of 11 seconds and a BW twice that of FT4.
This combination leads to a reduction in sensitivity, requiring higher power and/or a better signal.
Regardless, Decodium communicates with Logic, and once the QSO is over, I have all the data in my logbook with the FT2 description.
I've updated the mode setup table as you can see in the attached screenshot.
My problem starts when I send QSOs to eqsl.cc, which I can't do.
However, with LoTW, after modifying the Tqsl certificate, the QSOs are accepted and described as DATA only.
It's true that I've received confirmation from eqsl.cc with the MFSK (FT2) description, but I haven't been able to reproduce the typology.
The Decodium software can always be found with the latest update at:
www.ft2.it
I hope my explanations were helpful.
Let me know, thank you in advance.

Thanks for the info.

I had another customer call yesterday. He is using FT2.

I understand that when you upload your FT2 QSOs to eQSL, they are rejected. Is this correct?

Please send me an ADIF file with an FT2 QSO in it. After you attempt an eQQSL upload, the ADIF file will be in the TMP folder inside where LOGic is installed, typically C:\Program Files (x86)\LOGic\tmp

Look at the QSO in the ADIF file, and tell me what is wrong with it.

Is it possible that eQSL does not support FT2 yet?

Let me know.

Tnx & 73,

Hi Dennis,
There's some news since my last message, because it seems that FT2 mode may be officially implemented for LotW in two weeks.
I've prepared the files generated by Logic yesterday, which I've sent to LoTw and eqsl, and they're attached to this message.
I've received confirmations from users via eqsl.cc with various different modes, such as MFSK, MFSK(FT2), and RTTY. Everyone uses their own method. There's no standard guideline. Let's hope it happens soon.
LoTw, however, confirms with the word DATA.
That's all I can tell you for sure.
Bye and thank you.

Hi Dennis,
I'm attaching two screenshots of how my EQSLs arrive after transmitting the data with the .adi files I already sent you.
Oddly enough, the EQSL also adds the description of the variable adif prop_mode TR (Tropical) or ES (Sporadic) only if the value is present in the input mask I use during automatic update.
Bye and thanks

Be prepared for a mode name change. Evidently, Joe Taylor doesn't like this being called FT anything, as it's not his product.

Hi Doug,
I don't care what the name might be, maybe MM2 hi hi, especially since I'm not representing anyone but myself.
I just want to avoid wasting a lot of time managing radio activities as best I can, dedicating the rest of my time to other things that interest me, perhaps in (F)ull (T)ime, with the hope that Joe doesn't get mad because he didn't create the acronym I used, FT.
Of course, I'm kidding, and I reiterate my thanks to Taylor for all he's doing for the amateur radio world.
