Hello Dennis

I downloaded 9.20.2 just today and tonight started to use WSJT-x FT8.

Wow! Beautiful! It immediately recorded my QSO's straight into LOGic. Wonderful...

Thanks to you and to any of the beta testers for a great job.

That feature will save me heaps of time as I pursue my FT8 QSO's.

OmniRig note!

When using LOGic and WJST-X or (or any other program) share your rig using Omnirig, be sure to run WJST-X (or any other program) AS ADMINISTRATIOR.

I put together a video on LOGic and the WSJT-X interface -- how to set it up, multiple rigs, and troubleshooting.

Hi Dennis, long time no chat. I am final getting back on and have forgotten a lot of what I learned two years ago. I do have a question regarding the YouTube instruction on the auto-logging of a qso made with WSJT with ADIF and having it automatically load into Logic. I had it working two years ago, before my house was destroyed in the Texas freeze of 2021. But now as I am reinstalling and getting everything hooked back up, I can not tell on the screen in the YouTube just what page you went to so that you you could tell Logic where to the ADIF was located. You went from saying to be sure to be running WSJT first, then to the Logic page, and I could never hear just "where" that page is that I need to go to! I missed it somehow and there is not enough screen resolution for me to discern enough to give me a clue, and so I apologize to ask where it is and how to get there.

Thank you for all your great work!

Thanks Kyle! After being off the air for two years, it took me a bit to figure out where the setup page was on the LOG-MAIN screen was and find the WSJT-X setup. Now,I just updated my WSJT-X to v2.6.0-0rc5, and after doing a file search, C:\Users\John\AppData\Local\WSJT-X\wsjtx_log.adi is NOWHERE to be found! Even after posting some test contacts. Oh well, the hunt continues!

Thanks again,
John W

John,
Stick with the release version (2.5.4) as I've had trouble in the past with their 'release candidate' versions.

Does that folder exist (C:\Users\John\AppData\Local\WSJT-X\)??

See if there's and ALL.TXT file in that folder; it logs everything your program hears. Perhaps there's a
bug adding it to 'wsjtx_log.adi' in the rc version you're running?

I'm on 2.5.4 since September and have 10k+ FT8 QSOs.

Don, W2ZI

To add to what Don is saying (Hi Don !!), in WSJT-X go to File menu and click on Open Log directory, that will be the path WSJT-X has for your log file and see if it matches to where "you" think it is.

FYI, WSJT-X is now General Availability release v2.6.0, no longer an RC.
