Seems as my log grows the more erratic logging becomes when the Spot Log is processing incoming spots. I contest using LOGic and over the last several years the incoming spot processing interrupts logging to the point where logging a simple QSO while LOGic is processing spots results in the task bar showing "Logic is not responding" and it locks up till the spots have completed processing. During CQWW this last weekend it happened more than 10 times and resulted in the logged QSO data missing like DXCC, Cont, CQZ and even getting the time wrong.

Even if not contesting the processing of spots causes LOGic to randomly freeze while trying to scroll in the Log Browser window sometimes taking 5 seconds or more to respond. Disabling the Spot Log solves the problem. When you launch LOGic the processing of Spots takes precedence and sometimes can take 5 or more seconds to finish processing before LOGic finishes launching. It was annoying but didnt matter much but now that same delay randomly occurs while logging, browsing in the log or doing other log related tasks.

I'm going to try some other tests but it seems like the only solution is to keep the Spot Log disabled. Maybe if the Spot Log could be moved out of LOGics desktop like the World and Band maps into its own process.

Running LOGic v10.0.36, Windows 11 Pro, Intel i9-14900K (3.20 GHz) 64GB Ram, approx 17% CPU processing with all apps running. Spectrum is my service provider, I consistently get 570 mbps downloads (latency of 99) and 23 mbps uploads (latency of 59) so unlikely its a "slow" pipeline.

Back to log checking......

Interesting. With all the problems I have with LOGic, that is not one of them. Hope you find the solution. Let us know (besides turning off the spot log).

BTW, I have >307K in my log and only use N1MM+ for contesting.

Nice Allen, 307k QSO's is a ton. I'm just shy of 260k so have a bit of catching up to do !!

I dont have many other issues, just a few regarding multi-grid QSO's and printing. All else is working fine. The spot processing delay is the most annoying even though it doesnt happen all the time, albeit dependant on the number of spots being processed, It's just getting worse and is affecting the logging of QSO's more often.

I never used N1MM or any other contest logger, its just a pita to export then import those Q's into LOGic and then edit them all to add all my userdefined field data so I just opt to have LOGic log it all and no editing necessary.

What kind of contests do you normally do? I do a lot of contests but you're not in my log anywhere.

ARRL DX, CQWPX, CQWW, ARRL Sweeps, and less frequently these days, CQ VHF, ARRL VHF's, and some others when I remember.

I'll never win but have fun. Primarily Search n Pounce and try religiously keeping to that method for some reason. Dont think I ever ran a frequency for more than 10 minutes before switching back. Barefoot so not easy to run, especially in ARRL DX and CQWW and almost impossible in CQWPX where everybody counts for points so there isnt a clear frequency anywhere for a low power run. Used to finish in the top 15 Lower Power, Unassisted category but age is catching up and so not as "spry" as I used to be. I did manage to finish 1st place in the USA for CQ WPX back in 2021, low power, unassisted, sub category Tribander/Wires, that was a surprise. Usually finish pretty well for Ohio or W8's or Great Lakes Div if ARRL with many 1st place finishes. Sadly not so much anymore, but havent tired of being a competitor.
