Hi Mike:
There is a user-defined field already defined for that: QSLSDATE, EQSLSDATE, LOTWSDATE. Simply click the waiterman button to show it. When you print QSL cards or labels, or upload to eQSL or LoTW, it asks if you want to update date sent.
Of course you can type the date in too.
