Just curious, how many out there get just too many random error messages (including out of memory errors) and program crashes/terminations??? Sometimes it will terminate with no error message at all... if I don't have it on one of my screens and am using WSJT-X on another screen, I make QSOs without logging them at all.. No telling how many QSOs I've made which didn't go into my log.

I've had this issue using the last few computers and it seems not to be getting any better.

BTW, I'm using an HP Elitedesk computer with Win 11 Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700T CPU @ 2.40GHz (2.40 GHz) 32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable). 1TB SSD.

But as I said, the problem didn't start with this computer, I've had it with the last few computers... just seems to me this program is not stable any more...and I've been using logic since LOGic 6 (I think) or before.

What's going on??? I do have almost 300K QSOs in my log... is that part of the problem??

Hi Allen,

Sorry to hear of the issues. I would check Windows Task Manager and see what your RAM utilization is. Mine is around 17%. With all apps running (LOGic, GridTracker2, (2) Instances of WSJT-X-improved, and (3) instances of Win4Icom) my CPU is averaging about 8%-10% (peaks run 15-18%). This might be something to watch to see if any process is affecting your PC utilization. Also check Windows Event Log and see if any errors are occuring. Sometimes running Disk Cleanup helps to get rid of any straggling temp files.

Its hard to say what could be causing random program crashes but when I replaced my old Win10 PC just a couple weeks ago I chose to do a totally clean install of LOGic and not just copy the old LOGic folder over and re-install on top. I found that several "issues" (none were program crashes) I was having with LOGic over the last couple years have disappeared. I think copying over "old" folders brings baggage. It takes a couple hours to bring the old logfiles, logforms, etc back over but well worth the effort.

I run in all the major contests including CQWW a week ago and LOGic performed flawlessly (as usual), I used it for logging the entire contest and so was up the entire weekend. All the other apps above were running concurently as well.

You have ten times the QSO's I have so can't speak to a high QSO count. Does LOGic crash when doing an Awards Update ??

No, not when I do that function.
