I was running a test on the telnet host to find which ones are good or bad. When one tested good a pop-up error would come up saying "Variable 'NEWGOOD' is not found" I clicked "Ignore" and the test resumed until about 25% then LOGic crashed. Each time I try to test the host LOGic crashes.

Kyle,

You got farther than me. I got the same error "Variable 'NEWGOOD' is not found" I clicked "Ignore" and the test resumed until about 21% then LOGic crashed.

I can't get the error here.

Attached is the scrubbed list. I am in the process of updating the auto-login, but here is what I have so far. Unzip into the DATA folder inside the LOGic install folder. This will WIPE OUT any hosts you have entered!!!

Tnx & 73,

Dennis, I've had no (recent) problems with Telnet. Your updated list is missing my regular choice (DXC.N4ZKF.COM).
It's the local CC-CLUSTER telnet port that happens to be here in Daytona Beach.

73s, Don

PS: I've saved my copies of the three files in case your next update replaces those files. (grin)

Thanks, I added DXC.N4ZKF.COM to mine.

I installed LOGic 9.1.7 and ran Telnet SETUP > TEST to see which nodes are still active.

Is it possible that so many nodes are no longer active and "not found"?

Thanks,
Vin

My guess many of the nodes have expired or change of address. I use only one(dxc.w4ml.net) or two(w3lpl) and never had a need for most of them.

Thanks, I was able to reproduce it here and fixed it.

This utility is mostly for our inhouse use. I have a scrubbed list of hosts now, and am in the process of going thru and updating the auto-login.

Stay tuned!

Do we need to download and install telnet.zip to 9.1.8 or is it part of the 9.1.8 install?

Thanks,
Vin, 73

No Telnet works well in 9.1.8 already.
