Hello,
I installed the latest update (8.0.104) and now LOGic 8 won't generate the world map.

I get the following error messages when I try to generate the World Map:

Class definition LOGICMAP8.SERVER is not found

(Cancel/Ignore/Help)

If I hit CANCEL, I go right back to my main logging page.

If I hit IGNORE, I get:

Unknown member MAP_REF

(Cancel/Ignore/Help)

If I hit CANCEL, I go right back to my logging page.

If I hit IGNORE, I get the same error message:

Unknown member MAP_REF.

(Cancel/Ignore/Help)

At his point, if I hit CANCEL or IGNORE, I go right back to my main logging page.

Help !!!!!

Hi--

I think you are the first poster! Sorry abt the problem, but thanks for that!

Here is how to fix that.

Run a DOS command prompt. Type CMD at the Search box or Start box. Type:

C:
CD \LOGIC8
LOGICMAP8 /REGSERVER

This problem was probably caused by User Acct Control being turned on during install.
See Here

Hi Dennis,

I followed your instructions:

Ran a DOS command prompt. Typed CMD at the Search box or Start box. Typed:

C:
CD \LOGIC8
LOGICMAP8 /REGSERVER

and now I get the map window to open but it doesn't draw he map. I get a black semi-circle with a yellow dot in the middle of the window.

I set my AUC per your instructions as well. I am running Windows 7, typed UAC in the Windows Start Menu Search box. I clicked "Change User Account Control setting". The slider was already set to "Never Notify".

Anything else I should do to generate the world map?

Thank you very much for your time and help.

Hi--

All you need to do now is tell it to draw. In the map window, click Options then Draw.

Tnx & 73,
