Hi Dennis,

So often there is a DX operating with a split frequency that has been posted in the cluster and when I click on that in the spot log, the DX shows in Freq and the split in Freq TX in both Logic and in the K3. But in the K3 what happens is the split frequencies and proper mode are expressed but the K3 transmit situation is not shifted to operate split. While the different frequencies indeed show properly, the K3 is set to transmit on the DX frequency, not to transmit up where the split has the split frequency showing. Further, the shift is demonstrated properly in the P3 (the Elecraft panadapter) so it's got that info throughout the system, its just not told to transmit where its supposed to.

If its a matter of knowing what command to make Logic send the proper command to the K3 so it will properly function with the K3 or K3s, Wayne Burdick n6kr@elecraft.com and Eric Swartz eric@elecraft.com are the engineers behind the K3 and are always more than willing to help and can surely give you whatever info you might need to resolve this issue.

Thanks Dennis & 73,

Gary

Thanks for the info Gary. I will be hopefully getting my hands on a K3 soon and will resolve the many issues.

Are you having any problem with instability? OLE errors having something to do with a thread? What kind of serial port are you using?

Tnx & 73,

Dennis WN4AZY
