G'Day Dennis,

My priority: Low;

Clicking inside a log form opens the last browse window opened - not the browse window of the form that accepted the "mouse click".

I have two Log forms open, called Left and Right, for SO2R radios left and right.

The Browse windows are closed, and NOT anchored for both forms.

If I click in the Left form, the Left browse window opens - as expected. I close the browse window.

If I click in the Right form, the LEFT browse window now opens. Woops!

If I reverse - start with the Right form, a similar thing happens.

If I open the Browse window with the "browse window button", things work correctly, as one would expect.

The form and browse windows are related correctly. If I double click a record, the correct related form moves to that record.

Sorry, I am having trouble reproducing this.

If both log data input windows and both browse windows are open, and I activate a log data input window, the proper browse window moves on top of the window stack to just behind the log data window as designed.

What other way is there to open the browse window? That is what I am missing I think.

G'Day,

Un-anchor, and close both browse windows.

I usually simply click in the body of the log form - somewhere not on a field - and the browse window opens. I do what I want to do, and close the browse window.

If I now click in the body of the other window, the browse window for the first log form opens.

This little mp4 shows the problem.

Back again.

I just spent some time helping others and discovered the "Record steps to reproduce a problem" in Windows 7.

I tried it out on this problem and it works a treat. But there are some issues ...

The tool uses "full screen" dumps to JPEG files for a sequence of steps, recording the process in real time. It them assembles an IE .MHT file with the images and accompanying technical material into a ZIP file. The technical material includes what "control" one clicks on.

My screen is 3840x1024 so the resulting ZIP file is quite large. Many have large screens these days.

I guess there would also be some security issues for you - if one were to allow uploads of such files. The fact that it is restricted to members may be a partial solution.

Have you seen the tool? Have you used it? What next?
