I have a new IC-7300 Firmware version 1.4. Which Logic 10 driver do I need to use?
I am able to connect to it with WSJT-x and all the controls work. I just cannot
get Logic 10 to connect even from a cold start of the computer and the radio.

I'd start with the basic Icom driver (the one that says for rigs without split control). Once you have that working, you can try others. Don't forget to set the CI-V address on both the radio and in LOGic.

Hello everyone,
regarding the 7300, for several months I have chosen not to use it anymore because, I don't know the reason, it doesn't work with Logic anymore. Even whatever the driver is (47,58,46,50,49,48,40,45,56) with the appropriate settings as soon as Logic opens the PTT is activated and until I close Logic again.
I tried to interface the 7300 with other Log programs and strangely with some it behaves well and others not. Probably using it with FT4/FT8 it works well. In the Award 100 Years of Radio that lasted three months to use the 7610 together with the 7300 on different bands I had to give up to the point of buying a second 7610 to finish the Award. I don't understand what the reasons are for this sudden failure. Windows updates? Firmware update 7300? Various software updates?
I don't know if my 'alternative' solution can be coherent but at least now in peace.
I attach a screenshot of my current configuration that includes two 9700, two 7610, a 705, a 7100 and the 7300 that was working very well has been missing for some time. I also tried to reset the 7300 to its original configuration but nothing worked. I'm keeping it to listen. This is my experience that until now I have kept quiet for fear of making a bad impression but seeing that it's not the only one then it seems obvious to me that something is wrong somewhere. Who uses it correctly why doesn't it communicate any useful information? Thanks to everyone.

Hi Mauro !!

Sorry you are having issues with LOGic and the 7300. You probably checked this but make sure your 7300 settings match LOGic for Baud Rate, Stop Bits, and Address (94h). You probably tried this as well but disable all your rigs, rotors and keyers as well as disabling any keying via DTR or RTS then re-enable only the 7300. At least then you will know that nothing else is contributing to the problem. Also look at LOGics Serial Port Tool under Tools/Advanced, it will give serial port status where you can see what serial ports are in use or available, this may help to diagnose a serial port issue.

I have Icoms 7300, 7610, 9700, and 705 running concurrently. My 7300 set-up is: Baud Rate 57600, 2 stop bits, Address 94h, DTR NOT checked, RTS NOT checked, Driver is #51, Polling IS checked, and OL IS checked.

I know you are an advanced user and have most likely tried all the above but sometimes we miss something simple ! I certainly do !!!

Brad, K8ZM

PS: Happy belated Easter !!

Hi Brad,
thanks for the reply.
In fact I did all the tests, as you correctly hypothesized, even leaving only the 7300 active. The only thing I always used was 1 bitstop and 19200 as baud rate and I then tried to follow your advice to put 2 bitstop and 57600. With great satisfaction the 7300 worked and no longer activated the PTT.
Then I activated all the other devices at the same time and everything was ok.
However, remembering that it had always worked, I first set the speed back to 19200 and then the bitstop to 1. Or as always. Everything went back to how it was before.
I can't explain what the problem really was but it's important that it was solved.
Your intervention was decisive and I'm happy and thank you infinitely. Oh I forgot! Maybe I missed the use of driver 51 that I thought I had used instead it was used when everything was working?
It doesn't matter anymore. Thanks and until next time, hi hi.

Great that you got it working !!! Sometimes random things happen but you're right, its working so no further "surgery" is required !!!

Stay Safe !!!

Hi,
everything is back to the initial state.
I wanted to ask Dennis if the informations that is obtained by passing the mouse over the frequencies referring the Description and Port can somehow always be evident in a button under the frequency field with type of RTX and com that it uses for the cat, as shown in the image?
Thanks for attention.

Ciao Dennis de IKØCHU Mauro
