Here is info that will help you troubleshoot problems with the Radio Amateur Callbook.

The newer "high speed" CD-ROM drives are great for reading a lot of data from your CD, but lookups from CD-ROM-based callbook databases are actually slower because of spin-up time!
The solution is to install the callbook on your hard drive. Here is how to install the Radio Amateur Callbook on your hard drive.
*Exit LOGic!
*Using Windows explorer, drag the DATA folder from the CD-ROM drive to the root directory of your hard drive, not inside a folder on your hard drive. You may install the RAC data on any drive, including a ZIP drive. For example, open a window on the CD-ROM drive and your C: drive. Drag the folder from the CD-ROM drive to the C: drive. Remove the CD-ROM from the drive
*Edit the PDA.INI file using Notepad or any text editor. It is located in your LOGIC5 folder. Look for the RAC section. Manually edit the Data Path entry to point to the hard drive. Follow the drive with a backslash. For example:
[RAC]
Data path=C:\
If you cannot find this info in PDA.INI, simply add it to the end of the file.
*We have been told that the data does not have to be in C:\. For example, you can put it in C:\RAC\DATA. When LOGic asks for the path, enter C:\RAC\DATA, or try C:\RAC
This is caused by some versions of Norton Antivirus. Disable the virus checker. Upgrading to the latest Norton Antivirus program may solve the problem.
You need a new driver to access the updated format of newer callbooks. If you are a LOGic user and purchased your callbook from PDA, simply install the enclosed supplement diskette.
Otherwise, download the appropriate driver. Replace your existing driver with the new one:
