How do I export contest data in Cabrillo format?

The ARRL Cabrillo was introduced years after development on LOGic 4 was discontinued.  We recommend upgrading to the latest version of LOGic.  It includes support for Cabrillo, and much much more.

If you cannot upgrade to LOGic 5, try LOGCONV.  This is a freeware utility that will convert various log data formats.  You can probably export to ADIF in LOGic 4, then use LOGCONV to convert ADIF to cabrillo.

LOGic 4 Windows crashes on my new computer.  What do I do?

LOGic 4 Windows will not run on anything faster than about a 350-mhz computer. 66 Mhz was fast when LOGic 4 was released :-).

We recommend upgrading to the latest version of LOGic.

However, there is a patch that may work.  Download foxw2600.esl and replace your current file with this one.  This patch was not written by PDA.  It is provided here as a courtesy only.  We can only vouch that it has worked in a test here.

LOGic 4 DOS complains that I do not have enough file handles.  I put the required statement in CONFIG.SYS.  Still no go.  What gives?

Windows ME does not act upon the FILES= statement in config.sys.  To increase the file handles for the DOS virtual machine, add this statement to the [386enh] section of SYSTEM.INI:

PerVMFiles=99

See Q269030 in the Microsoft Knowledge Base

For Windows XP, edit the CONFIG.NT file, which is in the Windows\System32 folder.  Increase FILES=
