Icom 735 60m Mod

Begin by removing the top cover and the PA unit. There are some wires toward the front panel that need to be unplugged to remove the PA unit. This will expose the main board of the rig. On ours, the wires had different connectors so that there is no possibility of plugging them into the wrong places. Yours may vary, so verify this before re-assembly.

You will need to cut two diodes located in the area circled in red. For future reference, note the location of the lithium coin battery used for the rig's memories circled in blue.

Next, cut diodes D33 and D34 (circled in red).

Note that jumper J22 is used to set the CI/V baud rate and transceive.

Re-assemble the rig, verify that everything is working correctly, and go make some some QSOs on 60 meters!
