Check out the fully-functional LOGic demo.
The demo is a self-installing file. Just open the link
below, or download it and run it.
If you receive errors when trying to run the demo,
click
here. You probably need to download some Windows updates.
The demo is about 17 mb. A Pentium®-class processor (Celeron,
AMD, and
Cyrix equivalents work fine!) and Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/2003/Vista is
required. 2000, 2003, or XP or later is required to use the transparent forms
feature. XP or 2003 is required to email spots and use other email features.
If you get errors using LOGic's internet features when
running Windows Vista, please disable User Account Control.
Here is how the demo varies from the actual product:
- LOGic currently includes about an hour and a half of instructional
video. This is not included with the demo, due to their huge file size.
However, you may
download the first section "Quick Start" as a separate
download by
clicking
here. This video is an 6 mb EXE file that contains an
800x600 pixel .AVI. Just download and run. Be sure your sound card is on. It will show you
how to set up LOGic and log your first QSO.

If you have TRX-Manager, you may
download
this video to show you how to interface LOGic and TRX-Manager. (If
you do not have TRX-Manager, you may still interface your radio to
LOGic--LOGic has more built-in rig control features than most logging
programs).
To download a zipped .AVI version of this video,
click
here.
- It is limited to 50 QSOs. If you add more than this, you will
be asked if you want to delete some QSOs to put you under the limit.
- You
cannot change the latitude and longitude to your QTH (for DX and direction calculation).
- LOGic includes a printed manual. However, the demo help file includes the
information needed to operate the program. If you need assistance, please contact tech support.
- LOGic's CD includes the complete FCC and Canadian callbook.
This feature is available in the demo as a separate download.
Install the demo, then click tools/internet.
- The LOGic CD contains a large geopolitical database containing maps
and other info on all countries of the world. This is not
included in the demo. However, it is available via the internet. See Info Form in LOGic's help.
- The demo includes some dummy QSOs so you can use LOGic's many
features without having to enter your own data. The demo QSOs are
deleted automatically after you enter enough of your own QSOs to go
over the demo limit, or you may delete them from LOGic's Tools menu.
-
The demo QSOs will not export in ADIF format. This is to prevent
them from accidentally being uploaded to the Logbook of The
World. If you want to test LOGic's LoTW or ADIF export features, enter some real QSOs
of your own.

NOTE: The demo has an uninstall
program. However, by design, it does not remove the log data, etc.
from your hard disk. If you have no log data that you want to save, please complete the
uninstall by dragging the LOGic7 folder into the recycle
bin. Thank you.
If you have LOGic 5 or LOGic 6 or LOGic 7 installed, delete the file OLEREG.TXT in the
LOGic 5 or LOGic6 or LOGic7
folder after uninstalling the LOGic 8 demo. Otherwise you will get an OLE
error. Or, you may just install the LOGic CD again. This will not
affect your data or any updates you have applied to LOGic.
