May 9, 03 Hi Folks, This is Fred, owner of QRZ.COM and the QRZ CDROM I recently received a request for support from one of your customers who was having trouble with our news V.21 CDROM. This led us to discover that a file, COUNTRY.DAT was missing from the CD. The QRZ software is designed to ignore this file if not present however it is apparent that the LOGic software throws a fatal error in this case. Since the CDROM cannot be reprinted, the workaround is thus: The CDROM's \CALLBK folder should be copied to the customer's C: drive (C:\CALLBK). Then the file COUNTRY.DAT (attached) can be added to the C:\CALLBK directory. An alternative fix is to have the customer dump the CD to their hard drive, add the file, and then write a CD-R copy of it for their own use.
