I have switched from a Yaesu FT-2000D to an Elecraft K3S. Have used Logic 8 and now 9 with the Yaesu with no problems since 2011. After switching to the K3S (I did change radio type in the rig setup menu in Logic) I have experienced rig interface issues and crashes. One example: the frequency from the rig is often not read (entered as 0.0000) when a new QSO is entered OR the decimal point is off. For example, 7.07600 MHz is read as 70.7600 MHz. This causes an "illegal operation" message to be displayed because the program thinks that I am out of band. I do use a MicroHam Micro Keyer II interface. The correct frequency is consistently displayed in Microham's Router program, so I am mystified as to why Logic doesn't see it correctly.

Are you using the serial port? I have the same setup (K3 not K3S). Check your interface menu and turn polling "ON". See if that helps.

Good move, BTW!
