The help file (in LOGic) for the keyer function says the following "If you start transmitting while a repeated command is in effect, the rest of the message is discarded and repeat is discontinued. In other words, if you are in a repeating CQ command, and someone answers, just reply as usual, and repeat is canceled automatically."

This does not work. In fact I can find no way to stop a memory from being sent once it is started.

I am running .71 release.

Is there a solution for this?

Hi Bill:

Sorry, will check it out. Note that this is for REPEATED commands only, but even that isn't working for me either.

To stop transmission at any time, use the red X Cancel function in the keyer form or the keyer toolbar.

Tnx & 73,

It would be nice if {ESC} immediately cancels a CW message, regardless of which window is open.

Thanks,

That would be difficult. {Esc} does different things on different forms. On the Log form, it does Undo for example. I think it will cancel CW, IF the Keyer form is current. I guess if CW was running, it could cancel that, otherwise do what it does now. But what if you want to say Undo and not cancel CW?

Hi Dennis,

Currently the Escape key does not cancel the sending of a CW memory.

I agree with Allen, if you could make the Escape key stop whatever the CW keyer was sending it would be most beneficial.

I could settle for having it interrupt a memory that was being repeatedly sent (like calling CQ until the Escape key was depressed).

Thanks for considering this.
