Dennis, this update seems to have overwritten my band setup. I had previously identified FT8 segments but they are now gone. Any way changes to this table can be called out as an option? Any way to restore my previous band setup?

Also, the comment field in the spot log is expanded. Looks like this:

cw 19 db 25 wpm cq 2007z wa

whereas previously the content ended with the "cq". Any way to delete the redundant time and state?

BTW, the new com port software is a great improvement. It enables me to use the K3 driver rather than Omnirig thru my Remote Rig connection. Excellent!

Thanks,

Hi Bob,
also I modified the segments for FT8 into the Band table, but the new version .37 left everything unaltered.
This is my experience.

We don't overwrite the band table. Not sure how that happened. The only way to get it back would be if you have a backup of your whole LOGic folder.

If you or someone can send me your band table with FT8 freqs defined, I will add it to the master product.

I did some work on the parsing of spot comments because it was losing stuff. I see I still have more to do to that. Where are you getting your spots from?

Thanks. We had to do something with all these virtual ports etc. It was a monumental task, but worth it, it appears!

Tnx & 73,

I use VE7CC for spots. Logic is still has trouble logging onto this site. See my setup attached. It times out 9 out of 10 times at startup. Then, when I disconnect and reconnect, it almost always logs on fine.

Hi Dennis,
I do not know if my table is rightly formulated.
I tried two systems:
One: enter modes with frequencies in sequence.
Two: enter frequencies for FT8 without a sequence.
I believe the correct form is the first one.
I hope to have not created problems in the archives, but the spot log seems to work.
Only problem when I click on the spotlog to put the qso in the log gives me error because it does not find FT8.
I did only one test because the qso in FT8 I transfer them with ADIF files and everything proceeds correctly.
Attached to the message my Band Table file.

Changing to your setup still does not work. Here's the transcript and attached is the setup. If I disconnect and then reconnect, it works. That was also true when the first line of the setup was "call:"

N7IP: The cluster isn't sending the login: prompt, at least not within the default 10 seconds that it waits. No problem here tho over approximately 20 tests.

You can enter more time in setup.

IK0CHU: Turn off LOCAL ECHO. That will prevent it from doubling any info entered by you or auto login.

Tnx & 73,

Dennis WN4AZY
