Hi Dennis,

for what it's worth, with polling OFF the software does NOT follow my
TS-990.

No big deal, I just turned it back on and it does follow freq.

Thanks

Thanks for letting me know. I haven't actually tested it on a Kenwood. Just a K3. But it should be the same.

If you want to bother, turn off polling. Turn on data logging on the first tab of the Misc Ham Setup screen. Close that form, operate the kenwood for a minute. Turn off data logging. Send me the data log file. It will be in the TMP folder inside where LOGic is installed (C:\program files (x86)\LOGic\tmp unless you installed it elsewhere).

Tnx & 73,

I'll be happy to do that.

I see the rig is sending the AI1; command, which is supposed to cause the radio to automatically send information when you chance freq and mode, hence no need to poll. The rig is ignoring it for some reason. I would send a copy of the log to Kenwood and see what they suggest.

Tnx & 73,

Dennis WN4AZY

PS Here is the data from a K3 (which uses identical code as the Kenwood for receiving data). Note LOGic sends AI1;, then IF; to REQUEST the data to refresh the display on startup. Then you see line after line of data when the rig is tuned.
