Hi Dennis
For over a month I get 3 error's when starting Logic 9.
I ungraded to version 9.2.20. Didn't help.
I did a Microsoft clean. Didn't help.
I have to click Yes on each one to continue.
Also after these three error's when the program does come up it will be in the last QSO logged instead of the next empty spot.

It also does this when after doing a log back up.
Thanks for any help.

Clint,
When you start LOGic what other windows(forms) are opening?

For example when I start LOGic the Log, Telnet 1, Info, and Spot Log all open.

Try closing some of the windows(forms) except for the Main-Log and see what happens. I guess you could close the Log and see if anything changes.

When LOGic opens here it always comes up on the last QSO.

I closed all the windows except Log Main and Info. I closed the program and restarted. It came up without errors. Then I put all the missing windows back in. Then closed and restarted and no errors again. Go figure.
Thanks

Sounds like a configuration file got corrupted. I can see how ignoring the errors and closing the form would then write the new, valid values to the config file. What I don't understand is why closing it manually would fix it, and merely exiting LOGic, which also closes the forms, wouldn't do the same thing.

You are right Dennis.

It didn't fix it. It's doing all the same things again.

Ok, here are a couple things to try.

*Delete FORM.INI. It has all the form postions and colors, except for the log forms. You will have to set up your form positions again. Keep a copy in case that isn't it. You can put the old one back.

*Try a different log form. Close your default main form.

*Get the latest update or .23. .23 is stable. .24 was released yesterday. It seems stable too, but hasn't had the hammering that .23 has, and there are some major under-the-hood changes.

In the Logic directory files I see "forms", but it doesn't show the .ini extension.
Is that what I am to delete?

I deleted the form file and put my forms back in.
So far so good with two restarts.
Many thanks.

For future reference and for anyone else reading, you have windows set to not show extensions. In Win 10, under View, checkmark File Extensions. I think you can also right-click and select Properties.
