Hi--

Are you actually clicking on the button, or using the shortcut key. Try actually clicking on the button. The shortcut key could have gotten reassigned to somethingn else.

Do the menu options from within the LOg menu in the log form work? Again, try clicking and shortcut keys.

This is something I will have to fix.

Tnx/73,

Hi Dennis,

yes, I'm clicking the button.

from the spot log, if I highlight XX#XX and click the "S" button it responds "turning antenna 1 short path 40 deg"
If I click the "L" button it reports "turning antenna 1 long path 40 deg"

same result for both buttons.????

Hi Ray,

With Hygain DCU1,Green Heron RT20 driver and an example 54 deg short path, 234 deg long path. From Spot Log clicking Short Path button rotates to short path and displays "Aiming antenna 1 to 54 deg short path". Clicking on Long Path rotates the antenna long path and displays "aiming antenna 1 to 54 deg long path. So functions correctly, same result from the DX Calculator screen. Maybe me but aiming to 54 short is 54 deg's, aiming to 54 long is 234 deg....I'm sure Dennis can point to the long path degrees bucket and display that value in the pop-up when going long path instead of the short path value. Never thought much of it till you posted this, HI HI, nice!

Hi Brad,

thanks for your reply..

I enjoy ham radio, unfortunately work has me 350 miles from my station.
I'm not able to "look out the window" and see where the antenna is actually pointing BigGrin

After reading your post I called the XYL and had her watch as I rotated and
sure enough you are correct. It does actually turn it long path.

Guess I made a mountain out of a mole hill...

I've been a logic user since ver 1.0.0 for Atari ST and until
recently, it reported the actual long path degree...

73, and again thanks!

Ray,

Glad it works !! Having the pop-up display the direction for long path I'm sure isn't a huge issue for Dennis. I appreciated your post as I never paid much attention to it, I'll bet most of us long-in-the-tooth users never gave it a thought. Wow, 350 miles away....that sucks but at least your making the best of it going remote...hats off to you for that. Ok on the Atari, I was a Commodore 64 guy, then Apple IIC, wow....those were the days !! The only windows then had panes....sort of no different than today, just spelled differently (pain) !! Ok, too many puns....

Best of 73 !
