Windows: 8.1 64-bit Professional Edition
Logic: 9.1.11

I have several CW keyer function keys defined. I use a Winkeyer USB and not the Logic internal keyer. So I have not defined a serial port for the internal keyer to use to key the radio.

When I click on CW keyer in the log form window, then select one of the function keys, I get the message that is displayed in the attached image.

When I bring up the Winkeyer form and click on the function keys there they work fine.

Does this mean that the function key selection in the log form and the CW function key toolbar are for the internal keyer and not the Winkeyer?

It would be handy to be able to use the stand-alone toolbar for the Winkeyer so that I don't have to make room on the screen to show the Winkeyer form.

Thanks,

Mike - WB4HUC

I think I've answered my own question. If I bring up the Winkey form then bring up the CW Function Key toolbar it works fine. Now I can minimize the Winkey form and just use the toolbar.

Right -- the keyer interface works with one or the other, not both. So make sure the LOGic keyer form does not open, and you should be fine.

Tnx & 73,
