A new issue with LOGic.

[Sometimes] when I click on the rotor control, it crashes LOGic. The screen grays out and I get: LOGic.exe ahs stopped working. Windows is checking for a solution to the problem..."

See attached.

Hi--

What rotor and driver are you using? I gather it just became a problem with no changes?

There is probably additional information in the Windows event viewer. In win 10, search for Event Viewer. Run it. Select Windows Logs, then Application.

I am using a Green Heron RT-20 via the serial port and the Hygain DCU1, Green Heron driver.
COM5
Default baud rate
2 stop bits
Poll is checked

Nothing has changed on my side, but I only recently started using the on-screen rotor control.

I am using an old Prolific cable, but I know it is a genuine one because I bought it from Elecraft before they changed to FTDI.

Still using WIN7, 64 bit.

Prolific has always been problematic. Try turning off Polling, and also try the legacy interface.

Using LOGic's graphical rotor controller would cause the rotor to be polled, so that is a possible explanation as to why it quit working all of a sudden.

Let us know.

I will try that later.

I forgot to mention that setting the rotor direction from the Spot Log NEVER crashes. It is only the Rotor Control window. I think that probably eliminates the possibility that it is the interface cable.

I turned off "polling" in the rotor setup and so far no crashes with the graphical rotor control.
