I am having trouble figuring out what SPOTBYMI does. I have looked in help as well as spent a fair amount of time playing with the function.
Can someone give me a definition of what it does?
What I am trying to do is eliminate all spots that originate outside of a 1000 mile radius of my QTH. Will SPOTBYMI do this for me?

You are correct.
SPOTBYMI <= 1000
will do it.

Dennis,
I am still fussing around with SPOTBYMI and how it is used for filtering.
Is SPOTBYMI the distance from the spotting station to the spotted station?
Is SPOTBYMI the distance from my station to the spotted station?
Is SPOTBYMI the distance from my station to the spotting station?
It is very difficult to tell by experimentation.
My goal would be to eliminate all spots that originate from a spotting station more than 2000 miles from me.

... SPOTBYMI is the distance from your station to the spotting station. Make sure you have accurate lat/lon in the Tools, Setup, Station Information. Peter VK4IU You can help by posting images of any errors and including your Logic version.
