Recently upgraded to LOGic 10.0.8 (from 9.21.4) and I've been working WSJT-X (exclusively) for the last few months. My FT-DX 3000 is run through OmniRig 1.19 and worked just fine with LOGic 9. After upgrading to 10, LOGic thinks OmniRig is not running. I had to disable the rig in setup or LOGic would hang for 10-20 seconds, launch the OmniRig selection, then crash when I exited that setup. I have tried the recent OmniRig 1.20 update but that did not help (so back to 1.19).

Thanks & 73s,

Hi Don, hope you are well !!

I dont use Omnirig but Dennis posted a couple years ago Omnirig needs to be run as Admin. I believe you were in that thread. Most likely you tried running all as Administrator but thought worth mentioning. Dennis also did a youtube video at https://youtu.be/LE005pBpC_U

Thanks for your call.

Works perfectly here on 10.0.9. I didn't have to start WSJT-X first or do anything fancy. Once I got everything set up, I could reboot the computer, run LOGic, and Omnirg works.

Please watch the video starting at the 9-minute mark. You have to set Omni-Rig.exe to run as administrator. One thing I did differently this time, and I don't know if it matters or not, is in the Compatibility tab, click CHANGE SETTINGS FOR ALL USERS. Set RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR there.

Maybe uninstall and reinstall Omni-rig.

Lemme know!

Will try that. Note that my copy of the LOGic updater (with the 9/22/23 subscription date) only shows me updates through 10.0.8. I'll re-install OmniRig and reset the shortcut properties as administrator. Under normal operation, one only launches the settings panel when you configure it, not in regular operation. As you saw, when you ran WSJT-X, that launched whatever was needed to get OmniRig talking to the Yaesu rig.

Brad (K8ZM) also had the admin suggestion.

I'll update this thread with the progress.

Thanks again,
Don, W2ZI

I haven't released 10.0.9 yet. Get it here http://distribution.hose.../logicupdate_10.0.9.exe

Dennis,
Downloaded and installed 10.0.9, re-installed (as administrator) OmniRig 1.19. Individually, LOGic as well as WSJT-X read the radio. If I run WSJT-X first, LOGic thinks OmniRig is not running. Guess that did not fix things. I'm off the air right now as 3' of my vertical is under water.
