When upgrading from 9.20.10 to 9.20.14 I get multiple errors.

Entity Framework Database Access Error
Error reading PFXNDX:
Sequence contains no elements
Connection String:
.....

Error 1098 "Prefix lookup setup failed" has occurred in
program
PREFIX/LOOKUPSSETUP. line 32
Attempt to continue?

How do I fix this?

Hi--

Sorry for the problem.

I haven't run into this before, but here are some things to try.

Reboot your computer.

Go into C:\Program Files (x86)\LOGic\data
Delete PFXNDX.DBF and PFXNDX.CDX

Install the latest update. If you do not have a copy already downloaded, go to the LOGic Updater in the Windows start menu or type LOGIC UPDATER in the Windows search box.

Please try selecting the INSTALL FACTORY PREFIX TABLE option while installing.

Did any errors occur during installation?

Tnx & 73,

Dennis, When I attempted the latest update (9.20.14), I could not get past logicserver.exe - the computer asked me to try again, but again the update failed. Is this the same problem mentioned above?

Any thoughts on getting the update completed?

Thanks,
Ron, W7GTF

No, this is a different problem -- a different file. It normally runs in the background to let other programs talk to LOGic.

Rebooting SHOULD fix it. Also, you can try going to tools/setup/Misc Ham Setup. On the general tab, uncheck OLE COM SERVER, then rebooting.

Let me know if this doesn't fix it.

Thanks Dennis,

Rebooting corrected it.
