I am mainly a DX'er , but , with my current small antennas etc... and not much on that i need (or can work) in the dx realm , I have decided to chase counties.

what is the best way in Logic (i am using Logic 8), to log/track US counties ?

thanks

If you haven't done so already add the CNTY field to your Main Log screen and you're set. Use the Progress List to see what you have or have not worked. You can also use Reports to view your stats.

I know this is an old topic but thought I would post to it as I am interested in tracking progress against USA-CA but am having difficulty figuring out how to do so using Logic version 9.20.7. There doesn't appear to be progress information nor a report designed to help track county hunter progress, at least that I can find.

Hi Mark:

LOGic tracks all awards pretty much the same way. Here are the basic steps:

1. Make sure that awards tracking for CNTY is turned on, and that you have a CNTY field on your log form.

See https://youtu.be/Fa0zkvCSokE

and also LOGic's Help. Search for User Defined Fields.

CNTY is already defined for you, so in tools/setup/log fields, locate CNTY and make sure TRACK AWARDS FOR THIS FIELD is turned on. This option is in the AWARDS TRACKING AND SPOTTING tab.

To display CNTY on your log form if it is not already there, see the above-referenced video or help section.

2. Log some QSOs with counties.

3. To see progress, use the same forms as you would for DXCC or any other award. Just select CNTY from the list of awards.

I realize this is a high-level overview. If this doesn't do it for you, ask questions. I can make a video to illustrate how to do it.

Tnx & 73,

Dennis WN4AZY
